Spent another wonderful and hassle free weekend at the Ranch. I just love this park as the pitches are wide so my husband doesn't get uptight about reversing into pitches. The park is clean and tidy, the views beautiful and the owner takes an interest in his clients. The toilet block is the best I have come across as it is kept immaculately clean, is spacious and light and airy. Some of the pitches not only have electric and water but also have waste. The only thing this site lacks is a small clubhouse. It would spoil it if it was rowdy but just a small meeting place would be ideal!

Have just come back from our 4th visit to the Ranch and had another fantastic weekend even though the weather was pretty poor. A warm welcome was received from Thomas, family and staff. The spacious level touring pitches are mostly gravel, the lower level are individually separated by beautiful hedging. There is a rally field at the bottom of the park with EHU for tent and tourers and a play field / dog excersing area next to that. The fab new toilet / shower block opened last year and is clean and warm with great showers and good sized cubicles and has a local radio station playing through speakers - great for letting you know what's on in the area. This block also has a laundry area with washing up sinks. The site has a good play area for the children and a small area for toddlers with ride on cars etc. There is a small indoor heated pool, sauna and fitness room too which our kids love. The wee honesty shop allows you to drop off books you have already read and pick up another to read on your stay. The campsite is easily accessible and the town of Maybole with a small supermarket, butchers, fab bakery and chip shop is just a 5min drive away. The Ranch is just a few mins drive from Culzean Castle, Croy beach and the lovely Ayrshire coastline. Turnberry golf course is just a few miles south and Alloway, the birthplace of Rabbie Burns a few miles north. The tranquility and beautiful gardens of the Ranch itself makes it a lovely place to unwind and relax without having to go anywhere. The is a place although not too far from home for us, is now a firm favourite.

Spent a few nights there 2nd week in August 08. The site and toilet blocks are absolutely pristine and clean as is all Caravan facilities ( superb). Unfortunately, the pool complex and kids play area is getting pretty dated and in poor condition though, pitches at the bottom half are very exposed to SE wind, pick one nearer start of site. Note that your ticked for the pool area is only valad for one visit unless you state otherwise when you arrive - caught me out as I arrived late. No onsite shop or entertainment which is a bit of a pity. I would return though, but only for a short visit
