Between the shores of Loch Long and the Argyll Forest Park, Ardgartan is on the main route to Oban. With routes up Ben Arthur ('The Cobbler') and several munros (mountains over 3000ft) in the vacinity, the site is perfect for walkers. There are also plenty of opportunities for watersports enthusiasts and mountain-bikers, too. The site is just as suited to a more relaxing holiday, with stunning views over the loch and towards the mountains. There is a cafe and shop on site, known as teh Forest Retreat and the whole site has been recently refurbished. Ranger Activities are available on the site. There are toilet and shower blocks and dogs are welcome.
