I visited the park with my family a couple of weeks ago, I enjoyed my stay and so did the children. The staff where all very friendly throughout the park. The facilities were all very clean and stayed at this level throughout our stay. The entertainment was good at the club house. I will be recommending this site to many friends and family and hope to be back soon :)

Had to write a review as we visited friends at Thriftwood 18months ago and within 2 weeks had bought a caravan and secured a seasonal pitch! The whole family loves it. We have 3 children aged 2,6 and 10 all very different and we visit almost every weekend and they have never once been bored. The pool is their favourite during the summer, but the freedom of playing in the woods, the playground, the games room and the friendliness of the site means they are free to play all day. The staff are all helpful and friendly and there is entertainment most peak weekends and meals served in the clubhouse which the whole family love. The site is spotless and secure and a brilliant to explore the local area. We often walk across the fields to the local pub and havevisited loads of places locally including 2 national trust houses, eagle hieghts,Allington lock and the biggest bootfair I have ever seen to name but a few and all within 20 mins of the site. Thereis also a direct train from borough green (5mins away) straight to central London so plenty to see and do if you can drag the kids off site. We have never felt so welcomed at any other site and we had previously camped a lot, I would recommend this site to anyone.
P.S listen out for the owl!!!

Thriftwood is a hidden little goldmine in the world of camping and caravaning. A family run site with the family at the heart of making your stay the best that it can be. They are friendly helpful and very funny. The site is warm and welcoming and clean. A great little stop for us after a week of working and living in london. The toilets always have plenty of hot running water for a great shower and the site is very clean and tidy. The woods are fantastic to walk around with our dog and there is even an outdoor heated pool. The clubhouse offers good entertainment and facilities and the bar staff are friendly and welcoming. This is one campsite that you will not want to miss and will come back to again and again.

Brilliant Site!! Everything was clean and tidy. The amenities were all very well kept, shower blocks and toilets kept clean at all times. Being a family run business, all members were extremely friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
The entertainment at the clubhouse was also very good. Going back again on Friday 10th June. Would recommend.

I found this beautiful campsite just by chance, it is only 14 miles from my home but you could be anywhere in England. When I arrived I was impressed with the way our arrival was dealt with and the security of the grounds. We were given an electronic key for the entrance gate which is metal bollards. We were shown to our pitch by a man that could not be more helpful. When we had set up our kids wanted to explore. We had a lovely walk through the woods and fields (which we did each day ) building camps and playing. My son found the park brilliant and made new friends everyday (as did we adults) it was spotlessly clean and enclosed. The toilet/ shower block was the same not at anytime did we see litter or mess anywhere. The outdoor swimming pool is heated and I had to literally drag my son out of it!!! The first night we arrived our party just chilled and chatted around the bbq (maybe a wine or two was drunk) but it was peaceful and relaxing. The second night we decided to go the the clubhouse as there was a disco on again it is a lovely clubhouse clean and friendly we had the most amazing night and I must say the kids and adults laughed, sung and the kids loved the little games room which is there. We did find out that night that it is a family run business with Dad, Mum, Sons, daughter and wives and over the time we were there meet nearly all of them and found them to be very helpful accomadating and very very funny!!! We also enjoyed a Country and Western night and a few games of bingo (I didn't win but next time) We have already booked to go again twice and taking friends with us. We made new friends that we will be seeing there again. I would recommend this place to anyone and loved every minute of being there as did the kids.

I had to leave this review as this is by far the best campsite in the UK. We booked to go on the campsite to stay for 5 days in August 2009 as I have 2 kids I was attracted by the fact they have a heated outdoor pool I must say the pool is so warm it is fantastic the games room and play area are also a great attraction for kids.

When we arrived we were greeted by one of the brothers (Mark) if you go here you will see what I mean by the brothers they look so alike. I was then booked on and taken to my pitch my first impression was WOW! the campsite is so well kept I just did not think it could get better but it did.

Free showers plenty of hot water the staff are happy to help with any thing. Fully stocked shop good too as I forgot my toothbrush I can't describe in words how wonderful this place is I have booked expensive holidays abroad and I had a much better time here so relaxing I would recommend any one to go.

We wished our stay was longer and are considering one of there yearly pitches we definitely will be going back as the kids are still talking about Thriftwood.

5 Star campsite 5 star staff only bad point I live too far to go every weekend.

Spent a few winter weeks chilling at Thriftwood with my furry and feathered friends. Found it very conveniently located for visiting most places in the Southeast by road, and even London itself by mainline train from Borough Green. Nice relaxed atmosphere in the park thanks to the management style of Paul and and his merry team who are all extremely helpful and also maintenance conscious. The park also enjoys excellent G3 mobile reception if this is important to you. Would certainly visit again!
