This is one of the finest 5 Star, privately owned caravan parks where quality and friendly customer service are guaranteed. Practical Caravan Top 100 Park since 1996, Winner of the 2004 Thistle Award Park of the Year - Customer Care and AA Best Campsite for Scotland 2001.
This is a special park, the 40 acres are a haven for wildlife - as its 10 Year David Bellamy Gold Conservation Award and Green Tourism Gold Award testify.
We have introduced a new range of Caravan Holiday Home - our Shieling is available by the night and is ideal for those who want more luxury than a tent yet at an affordable price. From £35 for 2 people and from £50 per night for up to 6 people.
we booked a fully serviced pitch when we got there we had to use our own waste water bottle because they put the vans in hitch first so your waste water hose wont go down the drain when i pointed this out they said the would sell me an extension piece to join on to my own hose i said if my own hose cant fit It is not fully serviced pitch so i ask for a full re fund and left i am disabled and fully serviced pitch means you dont need to fetch or empty bottles so disabled caravaners beware ask before you book
Mr Howaniec arrived on the park, watched his caravan being sited (in full view of the service point) and only upon completion of the siting told us he had not brought his wastemaster (left at home) His manner became abrasive, and with persistant use of foul language, he "demanded" his money back - which he was instantly given with no arguement. I did point out to the customer's wife that his behaviour had been far from acceptable, in both his manner and his refusal to even remotely let us offer a solution to his problem. Naturally it is of concern to us if customers feel unhappy with the product (of which we have always been very proud!) and in this regard we were very sorry that the customer opted to leave so abrubtly. It is perhaps worth noting that we have never had a complaint regarding our fully serviced bollards before.
a gem of a site! visited this site numerous times, using our own tourer and hiring one of their chalets, either way john, kevin and all the staff make it a relaxing holiday. very welcoming and helpful, even at their busiest times. the park is immaculately clean, toilets are very clean and regularly checked. the play park is fab for the kids and the dog walk is great! so good we have decided to site our tourer here for the next year!
Clearly the park caters primarily to owners of lodges. It's advised to read the manual before booking in order to be clear of all the rules. We had very bad experience and would not go back.
This site was fantastic. The kids had a ball of a time. The staff were BRILLIANT could not be any nicer if they tried. Excellent dog walk or go into the forrest up the trail.Toilets were spotless. This site is very busy so would advise pre booking.Lots to do round about and the views are fantastic also.We will be going back to this site as it was brilliant

Set in the heart of woodland in the Trossachs National Park, this site is wonderfully quiet and secluded, yet it is just three miles from the town of Aberfoyle. The site is easy to access from the main road, since the approach and entrance are plenty wide enough even for the largest twin-axle units.
The spacious hardstanding pitches are arranged on terraced rows, so they are perfectly level despite the fact that much of the site is on a hill. Each row is divided from the next by silver birches, which provide beautiful colour in autumn, while more shade is provided by the mature trees around the site’s perimeter. Most of the pitches are fully serviced with fresh-water and grey-water drainage, and each has a TV point.
The well-appointed and
pristine washblock is located
at the centre of the site and is heated all year round. However, bear in mind that while there is wheelchair access to the gents’ toilets, there are no sanitary facilities provided specifically
for the disabled.
The site’s forest location
offers direct access to many walking and cycling tracks,
and the site’s own bike shop
hires cycles out to visitors. Alternatively, take advantage of the nearby sports and
leisure centre for just £2 per session (£1.50 for children).
A well-stocked shop and helpful information from the owners complete the list of facilities that will help make for an extremely enjoyable stay.

Practical Caravan Top 100 Parks Awards 2005
The Trossachs Holiday Park lies three miles south of Aberfoyle and is easily found from the main road. The approach is attractive and accessible, even for larger outfits.
The park is well organised with generous touring areas. All pitches are hardstanding and are arranged in terraced rows, dotted with silver birch trees. Average pitch sizes are 110sqm, although many are even larger. The pitches are not physically separated from one another, but their sense of spaciousness helps create a secluded feel. And there is ample shade from the trees around the site’s perimeter. The managers run the site in a warm and friendly manner, and the shop contains an excellent range of provisions.
The chemical disposal point is housed at the end of one terrace, and the immaculate toilet building is centrally located and heated throughout the year. Although the gents’ toilets can be accessed using a wheelchair, bear in mind that the facilities have not been specifically adapted for disabled use .
The children’s play area is well equipped and the games room has a TV. Guests can also take advantage of a cycle-hire facility.
The site owners have negotiated discounted entry to the nearby leisure centre, which is a real boon when the weather turns nasty. In good weather, however, you will want to get out and explore the spectacular scenery. There is easy access to woodland behind the site, which is covered in bluebells every spring.

Practical Motorhome Independent Site Reviews.
Situated by Scotland’s only lake, three miles south of Aberfoyle, the site is well signposted from the main road. The attractive approach is easy to access, even for larger outfits. This excellent site accommodates holiday homes as well as motorhomes, touring caravans and tents.
The park is well organised with spacious hardstanding pitches arranged in terraced rows and silver birch trees dotted all around. Average pitch sizes are about 110sq m, and many are considerably larger. A few seasonal pitches are available and many are fully serviced.
The site owners run the site with a friendly manner. Their shop area contains an excellent range of provisions, but no fresh fruit and vegetables. The chemical disposal point is housed at the end of one terrace, with its own lighting.
The central toilet block is adorned with hanging baskets around its eaves and is well maintained and decorated, and heated throughout the year. There aren't really any disabled facilities though: disabled access is possible only through to the gents' toilets, and the washroom itself has not been adapted.
The children’s play area is equipped with a good range of apparatus, and there is a TV in the games room. There is an independent cycle hire facility, as well as bike maintenance, and guides are available for cycle groups on site.
Active types can take advantage of a discounted rate at the nearby leisure centre, while walkers will enjoy the beautiful woodland behind the site. Each spring, the woods are carpeted with bluebells. The site is located right on the edge of the Loch Ard Forest, which has a wonderful visitor centre. It’s also close to Lake of Menteith – Scotland’s only lake (as pub-quiz buffs will know, all the others are lochs), and there’s fabulous walking and cycling at nearby Loch Venachar or Loch Ard.
