Stayed one night at this site. Great sandy beach. Very large site and probably good for families in the summer and staff friendly but little else to commend it. Paid a premium price of £23 ( in October !! ) with an ELU but then found very outdated toilet and shower facilities. Missing locks on toilet and shower cubicle doors. No hot water after running shower for several minutes. On complaining was told that some showers have hot and cold mixewd up and sometimes turing tap to cold gives hot shower. May have put up with this but not at £23 per night at this time of year. Whiole site felt old and in need of investment.
Have used this site twice. Both last year. Great site. Good facilities, clean and well looked after. Very handy for the beach. Also If you like fast jet aircraft belonging to the RAF (which we do and why we went), then this is the place to go. Site is right under the flight line to the end of the runway and jets go right over the site. Could be a bit noisy during the night if night time flying is on the go, but we really both our stays.
