A friendly, family run park with level pitches, some hard standing. We have a spotlessly clean, heated modern toilet block.
The park is ideally situated for visiting Bath, Wells, Bristol, Glastonbury and the Bath and West Showground.
Opposite the site is a 17th century coaching inn that serves good food and real ale with a warm and friendly welcome.

A quiet site, good thing the Co-op is down the road, as the small shop although it said it was open with the times displayed, was never open, even by ringing the bell a few times, no one ever came over to open up. The toilets and showers were not cleaned for 3 days, we had to ask for someone to clean them

Property Manager Response (5 Oct 2011):

Our toilets are cleaned daily and are kept to a very high standard. The shop may be shut at certain times of the day when the wardens are working on site but there is a phone number on the door which is a direct contact to the wardens.
I am very sorry that this customer was unhappy with her stay but as the other reviews state we have a very friendly clean site and can only presume that this was bad weather and there may have been wet grass on the toilet floors. This customer did not complain to the wardens or the owner whilst on site.As previous reviews will state we take great pride in our facilities and making sure our campers are kept happy

I would just like to say you would travel far to find a more convenient campsite to visit Longeat ,Wookey Hole and Cheddar.
The owner was extremely helpful and friendly, toilets were clean ,heated and modern, and the owner even let us use their washing machine when my young sons got their clothes all muddy.
I would definitely reccomend this campsite to friends and family, and we would camp there again if we come to visit more of this beautiful area. At £20 per night with electric hook up its far cheaper than any of the rip off B&B's or hotels in the vicinity.

This is a lovely well kept site with nice clean toilet / shower facilities.

Be aware, the owners two dogs make quite alot of noise and can keep this up most of the night. Our two night stay turned into one, because of it.

We visited this site to be be close to Longleat which was a plesent 20 minute drive away. Did n't try the local pub opposite, but a well stocked co-op is just down the road.

Property Manager Response (10 Jul 2008):

This was a wedding party! That had a late night celebrattions and revelling , their raucous behavior disturbed the neighbours' dogs.
