And recommends it for:
a family with children, a tourer/motorhomer

we spent 8 days and here july 19-27 and considering it was a late booking we really fell on our feet here - we have a 3 year old grandson and the large green play area gives you peace of mind when watching out for them. The park is well laid out, thoroughly clean and the toilets and wash facilities are some of the best i have seen. The park is well off road and the security is really good - giving you a sense that someone is watching out for you without it ever being invasive. If there is one slight reservation it is that a little toddlers play area would have been welcome (if only to stop them flooding accompanying tourers watching videos etc)
Well done Lebberston - certainly one of the best and I will certainly return

The site is clean and tidy as are the showers(these are cleaned every day). The site is away from the main road and is very quiet.

My family and I have just been here for a weekend. The site is clean and tidy as are the showers(these are cleaned every day). The site is away from the main road and is very quiet. There is a large grass playing field in the middle of the site and my kids lived there for 2 days! There is a large contingence of seasonal owners on here but they do make you feel welcome. The hard stand pitches are the type where the van is on hard stand and the awning goes on the grass - can be messy this time of year and my ground sheet is now in need of a good clean!!!

This isn't an all action site but it is quiet, tidy, well run, close to Filet and Scarborough and VERY clean. The toilet blocks are the nicest I've used in a long time. We have no kids but it would be ideal for those that have some that are able to happily play together as the lovely green grass in the middle of the touring site is very safe, clean and easy to watch.
Well done to the owners.

Practical Caravan Great Escapes recommended park Awards Issue 2006

If you want to be close to the attractions of Scarborough but would rather not be immersed in them, the tranquillity and open spaces here will appeal to you.
Lebberston, which enjoys a wonderful moorland setting, is attractively landscaped and boasts mostly level pitches, all with 10A hook-up. The excellent shop is licensed so you should never be short of a bottle of wine, and the two washblocks offer enough capacity, even when the site is busy. Less obviously but still important, it offers excellent security for caravans on site, whether touring or storing. Local beaches are an easy walk away.

Practical Motorhome Independent Site Reviews: Sept 2006

Lebberston is the perfect site for a relaxing break where you can dictate your own pace, whether you prefer sitting in the sun with a bottle of wine bought from the site's small licensed shop, a ramble across the moors, a stroll along a nearby beach or just a good book and a little bit of peace and quiet.
Trees, hedges and flower beds make this pretty campsite a joy to stay at. There are just over 100 pitches, with only ten or so on sloping ground. Set in a gently undulating vale with lovely views over the moors, this is one of those perfect little parks that demonstrates all that is good about privately owned British touring sites.
Security is first-rate and the park holds a 'Secured by Design' award for its security measures.
There are two immaculate toilet facility buildings with good access for disabled visitors. Lebberston Park does not have a huge number of amenities, however, so will appeal less to families who may be looking for a range of leisure facilities. But for those who want wonderful coastal scenery, tranquillity, and a warm welcome, then this little beauty will be the site for you.
• 30 miles to the North Yorkshire Moors for miles of beautiful, wild, walks in stunning countryside.

Set on a gently sloping vale with magnificent views across the moors, Lebberston touring Park is a perfect little site in every respect, and a
wonderful demonstration of everything that is good about privately owned
British touring parks.
There are just over 100 pitches, with only ten or so on slopes that would require the use of levelling blocks. An abundance of trees, hedges and flowerbeds make this park a joy to stay at and it is ideally situated for those looking to stay near the coast. It’s also perfect for couples or families looking for wonderful scenery, close proximity to the coast and very friendly and helpful staff. It does not have a huge number of facilities, but those that it has are very good. All too often, parks like this can be spoilt by poor washrooms, but Lebberston has two immaculate blocks and good disabled and family facilities.
There are no problems with security at Lebberston. The site holds a ‘Secured by Design’ award, and the caravan storage facility offered by the park has its own CaSSOA Gold Medal-standard secure compound.
This place is ideal for a quiet break where you can dictate your own pace – whether you wish for a deckchair and a bottle of wine from the site’s small off-licence, a ramble over the North Yorkshire moors,a stroll along one of the nearby sandy beaches or just a good book and a bit of peace. The Victorian seaside towns of Filey (2.5 miles away) and Scarborough (five miles away) have plenty to offer in terms of parks, gardens and shops. Or you can indulge yourself at Scarborough’s spa complex.

Practical Motorhome Independent Site Reviews.

Lebberston Touring Park is a compact site close to the seaside resort of Scarborough on the north-east Yorkshire coast. Despite its proximity to the bustling town, Lebberston is a tranquil site on a gently sloping vale with magnificent views towards the moors: the perfect place to unwind and relax.
There are 125 pitches, of which 23 are hardstanding. Most pitches are flat, with only ten on the kind of slope that might require you to get out your levelling chocks. There is little to divide the pitches, but there are plenty of trees, hedges and flower beds, which make the site look very pretty.
The site isn't overloaded with facilities and, as a result, isn't going to suit visitors who like to overdose on activities while on holiday. That said, it is well located for anyone who fancies exploring the amazing Yorkshire coastline. It's a perfect site for couples or families who take pleasure from the beauty surrounding them.
Splendid little parks like this are often let down by poor washroom facilities. This certainly isn't the case with Lebberston. It boasts two immaculate blocks, including good disabled and family facilities.
Security is becoming a major issue on touring sites these days, but there are no such problems at Lebberston. The site holds a 'Secured by Design' award, and the storage facility offered by the park has its own CaSSOA Gold Medal-standard secure compound.
This site is ideal for a quiet break. Sitting out in a deckchair and relaxing with a bottle of wine from the site's small off-licence, and good friends or a good book makes for a perfect evening. During the day, a ramble over the moors, or a stroll along one of the nearby golden beaches can be exhilarating. This is a great example of a privately owned British touring site.
There's a dedicated tourist information centre to help you plan your stay, and a nearby village pub in which to pore over the possibilities.
