Waterrow Touring Park is a beautiful caravan park and camp site for adults only, catering for caravans, motorhomes and tents. Set amongst attractive landscaped grounds, pitches are divided by plant and shrub screening to provide some privacy but allowing views of the surrounding hills.
Situated in the village of Waterrow on the B3227 (old A361 scenic route to north Devon) our caravan park is close to the Somerset/Devon border, to the east of Exmoor and is an ideal base for visiting this beautiful, unspoilt area.
Waterrow Touring Park is an adults only environment for those looking to relax and enjoy a peaceful holiday in an ideal location. The Park is open all year and there are 38 all-weather landscaped pitches for caravans and motorhomes including five fully serviced pitches. All pitches have 16 amp hook-ups with TV amplification points. There is a separate grass tent area for seven tents.
Our toilet and shower blocks are situated within a barn to provide a unique, dry environment. The shower facilities have underfloor heating, with spacious shower cubicles and easily operated, free shower controls (no glasses needed!). Also within the barn are the payphone, information area, library, washing-up sinks, freezer and laundry area.
Dogs are welcome, having their own field to run around in. We now have day kennel facilities for your dog if you would like to leave him/her while you have a day out.
We have an Elizabethan holiday cottage available to book by the week. It is suitable for up to three adults and up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome too.
If you are looking for a more active holiday, you can come to Waterrow to learn to paint with watercolours or, for those who have some painting experience, you can build on the skills you already have. You can also fly fish in the river on site but you need to be quite good. You can explore this lovely area walking or cycling. Alternatively you can sit and do nothing, watch the wildlife, relax and unwind.
Waterrow Touring Park has won many awards: Practical Caravan Top 100 Parks 2012, MMM Independent Park of the Year 2007, David Bellamy Five Year Gold Award for Conservation, MMM Most Memorable Sites and Calor Gas Most Improved Park in England Award (2003). We are a member of Tranquil Touring Parks, Best of British Quality Touring and Holiday Parks group and a MMM Premier Park for 2012. We are rated five stars with the Tourist Board and five pennants with the AA and are therefore members of the Best of British group of caravan parks.

We collected our new caravan today from Highbridge Caravans who kindly included with their starter pack a voucher towards staying at Waterrow Touring Park. We wanted to stay locally to try the new outfit before retuning home to Hampshire.
What a treat, the owners, Anne and Tony Taylor go out of their way to ensure that the Waterrow experience delivers all that is promised from the quite relaxed atmosphere (ensured by being adult only), attractive landscaped surroundings, to the wealth of local attractions should you get tired of chilling out. Unfortunately we had only planned on a short trip but we are already looking forward to a return visit.
After purchasing our first ever motorhome, my wife and I wanted to find a site that ticked all our boxes to lose our 'Motorhoming Virginity', also one that provided a great enviroment for our dog, good walks, cleanliness and above all a haven away from our 4 needy teenagers.
Waterrow park ticked all our boxes without effort.
Situated in a deep valley with the River Tone running alongside and rolling countryside all around,it is possibly one of the most relaxing places I have ever laid my head, and as a bonus fly fishing is available on site and get this, 200 Metres from the site is a fabulous pub built into the valleys rock face 'The Rock Inn'. Great food wine and beer with log fires 'bliss'. My Wife and I went in November and it was great so in the Spring and Summer it would be brilliant. Don't miss it. Go!
One major bonus point for us was that there was absolutely no mobile phone signal so we could not be bothered by work or family alike. So if you are a phone stressed mobile junkie. Get liberated! It felt sooo good!

This is an ideal site for adults wanting a peaceful, pretty base from which to explore the delights of Somerset. The adults-only policy means families will have to look elsewhere, but that will suit many.
The site’s owners, Tony and Anne Taylor, greet you like an old friend and it’s soon obvious how much pride and effort they put into this touring park. The facilities are kept beautifully clean, and the garden-like surroundings are immaculate.
Dog owners are welcome, and there’s even a field for dogs to run around in. The woodland river walk gives a fine taste of the scenery and will whet your appetite for a more challenging hike on nearby Exmoor. Once you’ve had your fill of walking and taking in the views, you can relax at the country pub just up the road.
Should you feel like learning a new skill during your stay, the site runs watercolour painting courses. If fishing is more your thing, that’s available on-site too.
If you plan on introducing friends to touring this season, Waterrow Park can help. It hires out touring vans for use on site
– an ideal way of introducing novices to the pleasures of caravanning before they move onto such things as towing.
It’s worth noting that this site is open all year. Regular visitors will find it fascinating to watch the landscape change through the changing seasons at this little gem of a touring park.

Practical Motorhome independent site reviews Nov 2006
Owned and managed by Tony and Anne Taylor, who greet you like an old friend, it is easy to see why their customers return year on year. From the moment you enter this beautifully kept, adults-only site, you are constantly delighted by what is set before you. It really is a surprise to find that Tony and Anne have only been operating this gem for the past six years.
The stunning Somerset scenery around the site is glorious and can be viewed from just about every one of the 48 pitches. Being open all year allows visitors the chance to watch the changing seasons, and devotees of winter touring will be pleased to find that all the park’s facilities also remain open all year.
The site runs popular ‘Learn how to…’ breaks between May and October, giving visitors the chance to sample courses in such diverse areas as fly fishing and beginners’ Spanish. Just think how impressed colleagues would be if you returned from a break in Somerset speaking a new language!
A purpose-built disabled unit deserves special mention. The superb shower and toilet facilities, accessed with your RADAR key, are exceptionally well-thought-out and maintained, as are the rest of the park’s facilities.
Taunton and the surrounding area lie a short drive away, and a half-hour’s drive gives you access to the Exmoor National Park at Dulverton. Dunster Castle and Hestercombe Gardens are also pleasant diversions, each worthy of a day trip.
