Hawkchurch Country Park boasts a superb tranquil rural setting surrounded by mature deciduous woodland and hedgerows affording shelter from the elements. Our pitches are reached by illuminated gravel drives leading to gently sloping lawns that offer stunning views across the Axe Valley.
We have a diverse selection of accommodation to include beautifully appointed privately owned caravan holiday homes, two level camping meadows with nearby modern showers and toilets and touring caravan facilities. All pitches have mains electricity connections and a parking space, and most have hard-standing bases.
Catering for every type of visitor, whether you wish to visit the traditional picturesque towns and villages, vibrant coastal resorts, magnificent historic houses, enjoy challenging sports in breathtaking scenery or have fun at the seaside, Hawkchurch Country Park will not disappoint!
Very pleased, one toilet/shower block was second to none.the other was O.K and I have seen alot worse, its just old.Our tent witch was perfect, but there are a few that slope a bit.Everyone was so helpful and friendly.lovely suroundings, will defo go back again
Having just spent two days on the touring pitches this campsight is absolutely beautiful.
We had two weeks off and travelled Newquay, Hastings and back to this campsight on the way back home to see some friends who were already there.
I can honestly say that i have never stayed where there are HEATED towel rails in the shower room, YES!! heated.
The campsight was extremely well looked after, very clean and ths staff could not do enough for you to make sure you were enjoying yourself and had everything you needed.
There is a small bar/restaurant, plenty big enough for that end of day drink and meal.
Give it ago, its an up and coming site to keep an eye on, very resonably priced(none of those hidden extras)
Not impressed atall.I had booked a fully serviced pitch back at the beginning of the year, and upon arrival was shown to a EHU only pitch. The only way we were able to get fully serviced was by using a seasonal pitch, which meant that we spent a fortnight in virtual isolation! The toilet block left a lot to be desired (was not thoroughly cleaned in the two weeks we were there)and was due an upgrade. The site roads showed no respect for caravans or cars, being very pot-holed and not surfaced. The staff did not even pass on an anniversary card which had been sent! What a disappointment, but at least the weather was kind to us.
very good, clean, warm welcome the national trust caufue castles is well worth a visit, lovely walks, wareham forest is also a great place to go. there is a very good pub called the wicked women just up the road.

Standing on the edge of Wareham Forest and close to the Isle of Purbeck, Hunters Moon is an excellent place for enjoying the outdoors. Walking and cycle tracks join the site to the forest, which birdwatchers will love. The site is also well situated for exploring Dorset’s attractions; Monkey World, Brownsea Island and Lulworth Castle are all in easy reach. Hardstanding pitches with electric hook-up are available. The Hunters Moon site also has washroom and laundry facilities, a play area and a large recreation field.
