This newly developed Park is of a very high standard with landscaped grounds, children’s play park, indoor recreation room, public toilets, shower and laundry. The Park enjoys a superb rural location on the edge of Portstewart with all the towns’ amenities within easy reach.
We stayed at this site as part of a group to see the airshow. The whole weekend we were constantly having to reset our trip switches due to the 5amp hook up being insufficient to even boil a kettle. Most of us ended up boiling water on our stoves. At one point the electric went off across the entire site from approx 2am to around 9am.
On the plus side however, the site and it's facilities were clean and tidy.
Unfortunately, I wouldn't be in a hurry back due to the electricity problem.
This site was so different to the description I almost thought I was somewhere else. It is a field with 1 water tap for 16 caravans. 5 or 6 vans per electric hook up which is obviously over loaded and trips quite often.
The showers and toilets were filthy and smelly the whole week. Showers were dangerously hot with no thermostat or way to adjust they also flooded the whole toilet block which meant if you only needed the toilet after someone had a shower you needed your wellies to get there! Washing machines ancient and rusty. We did not see anyone to speak to our whole stay and as for the field anyone could have pitched up as long as there is room and no one would have noticed. Childs play park was pathetic. We were very disappointed at having wasted a week of our holidays on this site and tried to spend as little time as possible there.
My advice is don't waste your time or money you would be better staying at home!
This is a great holiday park, Stepanie and Terry are a lovely couple and make everyone feel straight at home . It is a great location close to Portstewart , Portrush ,and Coleraine and the facilities are always clean and tidy. I am looking forward to seeing and spending my weekings there this summer in Ballyleese Country Park
