My wife and I stayed at this site for 11 days in June 2011. It is about 2 miles inland from the coast with many opportunities for walking and it is a bird lovers paradise.
We stayed on the 'Adults Only' area.
It is a level open site. Plenty of space and a huge playfield for children.
It is quiet and very relaxing.
The pitches are hardstanding each with power, water and drainage. There is also a TV outlet but this was analogue only.
The only real downside are the toilets and showers. As mentioned by other reviewers the toilet block is dated and in urgent need of refurbishment.
Upon arrival we were told that the toilet block would be closed from 10am the following day for a deep clean.
The showers were cleaned the toilets/washroom were not.
After a busy weekend the shower area was not cleaned again unti Wednesday. We will not stay there again and would reccomend anyone looking for toilet facilties on a par with those provided by the caravan club to look elsewhere.
Which is a pity given the location.

Property Manager Response (16 Jul 2011):

After having the toilets deep cleaned we have reviewed and increased our cleaning rota. The block has now been redecorated giving them a general lift. Modern hand dryers have replaced the paper hand towels and the mens urinals replaced.

I am pleased to be the first person to review this site, and it does exactly what it says on the tin. A small shop provides the basics, and a very charming bar has a pool table in a side room. No restaurant on site, (which is made obvious on the particulars), but there are some charming pubs around providing excellent food. Pitches were a good size with hard standing, water, electricity and waste laid on. A well maintained site with lovely open areas of grass, and hedges separating groups of pitches made for a tidy look. Some pitches even had wooden picnic benches - a very nice touch. It made the whole experience very relaxing.
At the time of our visit, there were people stopping for just a night or two, which surprised me, I would have expected people to stay longer as there were plenty of interesting things to see within a reasonable distance from the site.
We booked for a week, but stayed an extra night, as it was so relaxing.
The only thing was, that the toilets, though on the whole clean, were looking a bit tired and dated, and in need of a makeover. This won't however stop us from wanting to visit this charming site again.
