Newton Mill Holiday Park is tucked away in a beautiful valley in rural Somerset, yet only three miles away is the World Heritage City of Bath, with its rich architecture, history, art and culture.

Whether you want to explore the historical sites, unwind in the park's tranquil setting, discover incredible countryside and woodland scenery, or head for Somerset's stunning coastline and bustling seaside resorts, Newton Mill's superb location and year-round facilities provides the perfect base.

The park offers peaceful pitches for caravans and two grassy meadows accommodating tents. The heated showers and toilets are of the highest standard and have received the 5-Star Loo of the Year Award.

Our facilities include a bar and restaurant in the park's charming 350-year-old mill house, which has a garden next to the meandering stream that runs through the entire length of the park. The stream also provides light coarse and game fishing for our camping and caravanning guests.

Firstly great bar/restaurant with great quality service, food, quantities and prices. We ate there both nights we stayed and were more than satisfied with the gnosh.

The camp was reasonably sized and had a choice of camping with or without your car next to you.

great staff and a nice little shop on site. Not very far to Bath centre and a good base to go to Longleat as we did (40minute drive).

Washing facilities on site and good showers but no plugs in showers.

Recommend this site highly.

We chose this site as we wanted somewhere close to Bath ,Bristol and Cheddar. It is not as close to Bath as another site we stayed at a few years ago but you can walk to Bath still but it will take about 40mins to an hour.
The site is very clean and tidy and the Lady in reception is really nice and very helpful.
The Caravan pitches are a bit tight luckly the site wasn't busy when we went. The shower blocks are clean but really could do with updating. We was disappointed that the Restaurant was closed (Monday to Thursday) for the whole of our stay as this was not mentioned when booking and was 1 of the reason we choosing the site.
We would return to this site ,if we was in the Bath area.

we stayed for 3 nights over a very wet Easter weekend. The pitches were the smallest we have ever stayed on...you could practically see in the next caravan's windows! The tv reception was so poor that even the aerial (borrowed from the campshop) didn't even help.
We were very disappointed and will never stay there again.
The bar and restaurant we did not use. It also cost us over £100!

Just returned from a 3 night stay at Newton Mill. The cost for 2 adults and 1 dog (no awning) was a big surprise at £90 - thats £30 a night! We stayed at a Caravan Club site for 4 nights this month for £64 and the caravan club site beats Newton Mill on all counts.
TV reception is nil, and even with the hook-up we were unable to get any picture on our digital TV. The pitches are tiny, and we were really close to the path running in front of our caravan, with a view of some bushes. The dog walk was up a steep hill along an overgrown path.
The shower block was reasonable, but there was matted hair in my sink, which was a bit off putting.
As previous comments note, there is no atmosphere in the pub, which was almost empty.
I think my view of the park is clouded by the price - £20 a night would have been fairer.

Just got back from the bank holiday weekend at Newton Mill.

I feel I should give a balanced view, but overall was extremely disappointed with the site.

On a positve side the toilets were modern and in good condition, but not kept as clean as many other sites. The TV Aerial link on pitch electric hook up post was really appreciated as reception was extremely poor - and we ebenfitted from main 5 channels as well as ITV2/3.

On amore negative side, I was extremely anoyed that the site fees were higher than when we booked a few months earlier - We were actually charged £ 33/night for a basic pitch.

The pitch szes were extremely small, the caravan beside us had only2-3 feet between their awning and the side of our caravan, whilst we had only 5-6 feet between our awning and a fence.

THe bar attached to the park could be a real asset but lacked any sort of atmosphere despite being fairly busy and prices were a bit high at £3.50/pint or there abouts.

I have to say I had previously heard good reports of the site, but clearly something has changed.

We stayed for a two night break here and for whats on the site found the price a little to high for the pitch. I dont mind paying for some thing but this is nothing special, Taps are few and far between ,tv signal poor but you can get a ariel hook up at extra cost , ipay for a licence so begrudge paying extra to watch it. Bus service is ok but a fair walk. toilets and showers are clean but again nothing to justifiy the costs. We went to the bar but but again a little pricey and i dont want to sit watching tv when out a little back ground music would have been nice. The bar was almost empty so no atmosphare ,pity. dont think i will be back.

disappointed with mill bar, prices for drinks was excessive,no entertainment on the two weeks in july,we were there. The touring pitches are very small, could not fish in stream for trees. One saving grace was the toilets, which were kept very clean and tidy. The bus stop to take you to town was at the top of a steep incline, not reccomended for the elderly.

We visited this park in the worst weather ever at the beginning of July this year when it had done nothing but rain for the 2 weeks of our holiday. Even though the park was extremely wet the loos were kept exceptionally clean it lives upto it's award .Not a lot of choice in the restaurant but we had steaks and they were very good. Cycle path to Bristol was excellent and well worth the effort. If you do visit, ask for a pitch in the sun not under the trees as we were. Park and ride into Bath not too far or you could cycle. An excellent park would definitely visit again
