This lovely park nestles on the banks of the river Ure encircled by the beautiful rolling countryside of North Yorkshire.
The park is a few minutes walk from the historic market town of Ripon, with its magnificent Cathedral, Local shops, Public houses and restaurants.
we stayed 4 nights had a great time. toilets cleaned every day, showers excellent always hot water. staff very friendly and helpful but best of all was what it cost for our electric useage. the electric is metered and you buy your cards when you arrive. We were advised to get 5x£1 cards and use them as we needed them. We ran our electric as we do on any other site (electric oven, kettle, toaster, lights) and in total for the 4 nights we used £3.00. Excellent value when you realise what other sites charge.
had a great bank holiday wk end at riverside meadows, the staff are more than helpfull and did all they could to make us welcome.
the park is nice and clean and well looked after.we had a really good time in the clubhouse with things to do for all ages. Thanks to all at the paark and we hope to see you all soon.
Riverside Meadows Caravan Park, Ripon, North Yorkshire
Lovely caravan park but the wardens at this park seem to make their own rules which they won't bend at all they could be the spoiling of this park.Toilets and shower block not as clean as they could be.
Riverside Meadows Caravan Park
We booked at this park as a group of 3 families, 2 in caravans and 1 tent. We appreciate that tents and caravans cannot always be placed together and accept this, however as we paid most of the monies for the stay prior to arrival we expected that our pitches were booked and could be placed together for the caravans. One of our party arrived later than the others, and were greated by a less than helpful staff member dictating that pitches could not be together. One of the party were crammed in at the top end of the park and the other at the bottem. With both having young children this made it very awkward at bedtime. There were empty pitches next to one of the vans and we really couldn't see a problem with the pitches being placed closer together, however it seemed like it was their rules or nothing, despite the fact that we were paying customers.
If we hadn't explained that we wanted to be together then I could understand, however we did so at the time of booking, all forms went in togteher, the 1st to arrived asked if we could be and then we also did on arrival. 1st come 1st served is all we kept hearing.
Whilst we were at the site we found the chemical waste blocking up a fresh water drain. err!!!
