Situated in a beautiful rural setting on the picturesque Lancashire coastline, the Holiday Park is an ideal base for exploring the Lake District, North Yorkshire and the Forest of Bowland.
Once a working farm, the rolling green fields surrounding the park offer stunning views over Morecambe Bay, whilst providing a peaceful and tranquil retreat nestled on the doorstep of Arnside & Silverdale, "Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty".
We do have Holiday Caravans that can be rented for the season, just give us a call for further information. Tel: 01524 732854.
A beautiful site, spotlessly clean and well laid out.Plenty of room between vans. The smartest elsan point I have ever seen-all tiled!Very helpful staff, nice bar and restaurant but not clubby.Very quiet site. The best thing about this site is the magnificent views over Morecambe Bay.Nice walk with proper path along the shoreline.Canal walks just across the road.Tesco at Carnforth only a mile away.Canal pub opposite Tesco.Good pub for food in Bolton Le Sands
We recently visited this site for the third time, what a difference a few months can make. Not only have they changed the name from Detrongate but a £4 million improvement project to update the park and its facilities has been started too. A new club house is being built with a larger shop attached – there is at present a small one which has basic supplies and newspapers can be ordered.
Whilst the site is quite hilly and rather exposed it does afford wonderful views over Morecambe Bay where you can watch the sunset dip behind the Cumbrian Fells. Field A is best for beach views and more hard standing pitches are being put in.
Always receiving a wonderful welcome whenever we visit, they personally show you to your pitch and help site your caravan if necessary. The toilets and showers are always clean. The games room for the children keeps them entertained when it rains whilst a new adventure playground is great for better weather.
Along the coastal path, accessible from the site, there is a lovely walk to Archers Cafe where the food and greeting are warm. If you are up for a longer walk then you can meander your way into Morecambe itself. From here the newly refurbished promenade offers insights into Morecambe’s history. Children’s play areas, fountains and even a bouldering wall to climb are all strategically placed along the way. Further along the promenade you will find the famous Midland Hotel and the Stone Jetty and not forgetting Eric Morecambe’s statue.
We are looking forward to visiting Bay View again when hopefully the improvements will have been completed making our stay even better. I highly recommend a visit to this friendly site.
