It's always a pleasure arriving at a well maintained camp site and Bellingham is right up there with the best of them.
The facilities are pristine 24/7 with spacious showers and privacy cubicles and even piped music to make the experience even more pleasurable. The site is maintained to a very high standard; we stayed for two weeks during the Autumn and there was barely a leaf to be found on the well manicured lawns and the hanging baskets and tubs were freshly planted with winter blooms - not left with the remnants of summer plants as so often happens! The site shop sells all you'll need in terms of day to day necessities - and more (including locally produced Bellingham Campsite Bangers)- but if needs be, the dog-friendly pubs, shops and banks of Bellingham are a short walk away. The owners, Carole and Barry, made us feel very welcome and were a mine of information about the local area and all it has to offer - of which there is plenty. One of those nearby attractions is the Keilder Birds of Prey Centre who were invited to visit the site during our stay and brought along cute little owls, kestrel, falcon and sparrowhawk. They performed a very informative and spectacular flying display for the benefit of the campers, all totally free of charge - as is the site wi-fi incidentally! It's often such attention to detail that makes the difference between a good site and an exceptional one and Bellingham does detail brilliantly. We look forward to our next visits.

A couple of friends and I, decided to visit this site, and could not have been happier. It was my second visit, and the site was as womderful as I remembered it.

We received a warm greeting when arriving on the site, checking in quickly, and were shown to our pitches, in the middle of the site, and advised which way to pitch the tents to get the most of the sun.

The toilet block is immaculate, always plenty of toilet roll, plenty sinks and shaving points, 3 large showers, and a stool for each, which I appreciated as I do need to sit down for a shower. The music was a nice touch too, I beleive it was radio 2 that was playing.

The shop is what you would expect, well laid out, selling the basics, along with some frozen foods, a tourist information point, with alot of leaflets and helpful staff.

The only negative I can say about this site, is during our stay, the wifi was not working, it was not the end of the world, and we had been previously advised it was not operating properly, however they are getting a new wifi system in, which will work alot better.

On the last trip I made to this site, I did the hairshaw'lynn walk, which was wonderful, but this time we opted to head to kielder, where we walked a small amount, then got the boat round the water.

An excellent site, which is a credit to the Camping & Caravanning Club - owned by franchises but kept to the expected high standards we expect from club sites
Beautifully kept grounds and clean amenities block. Bellingham is a friendly site which would appeal to backpackers to families alike.
The site is well situated for access to the local amenities and the wider visitor attractions, especially the Hadrian’s Wall attractions nearby.
