This is an attractive site with grass covered sandy dunes, shrubs and dog roses creating private pitching areas - a splendid choice for family holidays with acres of flat golden sands and rock pools nearby. Nature lovers will enjoy the birdlife and the nature trail through the dunes. The Millennium Commission funded Scottish Seabird Centre at North Berwick uses remote controlled cameras to view Scotland's seabirds in secret, as well as a spectacular Gannet Experience, sound and tight show. Its promontory harbour location also affords exceptional views of the Bass Rock and other islands. Described as 'Edinburgh's Playground', East Lothian combines proximity to 'Auld Reekie' with charming villages of pantiled cottages and a coastline of sandy bays and rocky headlands. Sports include water-skiing, sailing, windsurfing and no less than 16 golf courses!

And recommends it for:
a family with children, a tourer/motorhomer

If it,s peace and tranquility you seek then this is definitly the site for you. Set a mile outside the genteel hamlet of Dirleton with its tastefully refurbished cottages and its Castle which Oliver Cromwell destroyed. The rock framed beach at Yellowcraigs is only a five minute stroll from the site with magnificent views over to Fidra Island .Home to thousands of noisy seabirds and a pretty impressive lighthouse. The site itself is up to the usual Caravan Club standards. The grass standings were dry considering the amount of rain we have experienced this summer and the toilet /shower blocks were immaculate being well maintained by the site staff. Always hot water on tap and with numerous toilet and shower cubicles.
