We have been every year for the last 4 years. It is a super site, clean, well maintained and loads to do. The shows in the evening were loved by the children, especially when all the characters appeared for a dance. It is very close to the beach, and Hunstanton is a very quiet seaside town.

Lovely site, great amenities, excellent showers. Very clean and well organised. Pitches are really good, private, plenty of space. Nice to stroll round on an evening, ideal for families or couples.

We have just spent this Easter at Searles. Our first break away and couldn't ask for more. Lots to do on site for families. Beautifully maintained site with good size pitches, we had a corner pitch with enough room for two cars, caravan and awning. Reasonably priced on site general store. Excellent chippy. Good heated indoor pool which was well heated and child friendly. Tesco's have a store outside the entrance if needed. Plenty of shower blocks and waste points, all kept clean and tidy by the staff. All the staff we met were helpful and polite - including the security guard who had to reset my electric when I tripped it out.... After 23.00 there was very litle noise on the site. The icing on the cake Hunstanton is lovely on a sunny day.

Very good all round site, pitches a good size. close to the beach, toilet and shower facility's good, regarding the entertainment if you want it it is their and if you don't it will not affect your stay in any way, noise levels at night are virtually non existent.

I would give this site 9 out of 10.

Property Manager Response (28 Oct 2006):

Thank you for kind comments, all here at Searles are glad that you have enjoyed your stay and have taken the time to positively review us.

I doubt if there is another site anywhere as good as this one. It is immaculate. Toilets cleaned several times a day, general maintenance all around the site is ongoing and the people who go there do so because they appreciate the well kept, safe and pleasant surroundings. This is one of those rare places where people are polite, friendly and considerate towards each other. Like most of the people who have stayed there, we will continue to go as often as we can.
The pools are warm and a very good size, no extra payment to use them, hairdryers in the toilet blocks do not have coin machines. The jacuzzi and sauna are free also and the evening entertainment is first class. There is a bar which is adults only with 'gentle' entertainment and the club house where the children go has a wide range of entertainment. The children who go to this site are usually well behaved, polite children in my experience and cause no one any offence. Bad behaviour is not tolerated at this site and the excellent security staff ensure that everyone enjoys their stay. At night from midnight at the latest, all is quiet, no drunkenness, domestic quarrels, screaming children etc. Pure bliss!

Practical Caravan Top 100 Parks Award 2008

Enjoying the East of England, including the coastline, is easy when you stay here. You won’t be bored during your time on site either, with one indoor and three outdoor heated pools, basketball, mini golf and the beach just a walk away. The resort has its own country club, with golf, fishing and tennis. Serviced pitches offer 10A hook-up, while full-service pitches have 16A, water, waste water disposal and TV aerial hook-ups, as well as level hedges to separate them. There are options for sit-down meals and snacks, plus a supermarket.

Practical Caravans Top 100 Parks Awards 2004

This resort comes with special attractions and is great for families – though it might be less alluring to those seeking the simple life. It costs more than many sites – but look at what you get for the extra money.

There’s nightly entertainment with special children’s programmes until 9pm, bars, restaurants, indoor pool and a gym. As for sports, there’s a nine-hole golf course with a discount for guests, a driving range and huge putting green, tennis courts, bowling green, and fishing lakes. The site doesn’t scrimp on facilities, either – there’s a large supermarket and laundrette.

There are 211 level touring pitches divided by hedges, 172 of which have 16A hook-up. The pitches are mainly in rows and form the seaward part of the overall complex. Access to the touring section and the open-air sports facilities (which have their own reception and warden) is through the static holiday homes, near the entertainment facilities and pool.

The sanitary blocks have domestic-type showers are heated and in good condition, although the children’s play areas looked heavily used on our visit and could do with some renovation.

There’s easy access to the beach, and it’s a short walk or a fun trip on the Searle’s Land Train to Hunstanton. There are good coastal walks, too. The site is signposted well and the entrance is wide, but do watch out for pedestrians.

Practical Caravans Top 100 Parks Awards 2003

Searles Holiday Park is a classic family site, just a short distance from some of Norfolk’s finest beaches, and it extends a warm welcome to every guest. Searles focuses on entertainment, with the clubhouse playing host to shows for all ages. The late evening shows for adults includes four floor shows each week from May to September, competitions, karaoke and bingo. There is also a restaurant, and the Mariners bar which provides a more peaceful environment in which to relax. If you feel you need to work off that high living there is a gym and heated indoor and outdoor swimming pools.

There are 196 touring pitches on-site, 119 of which are hardstanding. If you want a bit of added luxury, you can choose one of the super-pitches, which have electricity hook-up and a hedged and paved area for additional privacy, water and drainage and a satellite TV hook-up. There are four toilet blocks and three shower blocks, all well kept and with excellent disabled facilities.

Just a short walk or bus ride from Searles is the town of Hunstanton, where you can stroll along the promenade and enjoy the funfair, or take a boat trip along the coast or out to seal island. If you fancy a spot of golf, there is a nine-hole course and driving range and you can take advantage of the Searles guest £1 discount. The stately homes in Sandringham and Holkham make for a great day out, or you could visit Norfolk Lavender or Park Farm.
