Sheltered and well landscaped park in a peaceful country setting. This is an ideal base for touring Mayo and the West of Ireland. Centrally sandwiched between County Galway and County Sligo an hour by car will take you to the scenic highlights of both these splendid regions. Be sure to head into the rugged Connemara National Park with its bogs, red deer and famous ponies. The site itself is a part of the 85 acre Marian Shrine at Knock, the scene of the apparition of Our Lady in August 1879 and with a folk museum and commemorative Basilica. Outdoor pursuits include walking, cycling, golf courses and a wide range of fishing options.
This is a lovely peaceful caravan park. The facilities are of a very high standard. The park is well sheltered and very clean. There is a lovely little kids playground. The park is only a few minutes walk from knock town the the shrine. We will be going to this park again.
