Campers allowed to drink onsite in the campers lounge until after 1 in the morning causing a lot of disturbance, especially as some of their kids were allowed to run riot in the camp firing water balloons at residents. The proprietors promised to evict the trouble makers but instead allowed them to stay and so the disturbances continued.

Practical Caravan Great Escapes
This site has a four-star merit award from the Irish Caravan and Camping Council, as well as AA and Ireland Tourist Board awards for excellence. Having just been bought by the O’Shaughnessy family, standards at the site look set to remain high. It has beautiful views over forest and the Vartry Lakes. The six-acre site itself is equally beautiful, with manicured gardens and colourful flowerbeds. Hanging baskets decorate the washblock and palm trees give the site an air of the exotic.
You are never more than a few steps from a drinking-water pipe and there are barbecue areas all over the site. Other facilities include food preparation areas, a TV lounge and a common room. Some pitches are on a slope, and for these pitches the use of chocks is advised. The site is only a five-minute walk from the village of Roundwood, with its bars, restaurants and shops, and is very close to beauty spots such as Glendalough and Sally Gap, making it ideal for sightseeing and walking.
