200 Pitches - Non Members welcome
"Near the beautiful coast of North Norfolk"
The beautiful coastline of North Norfolk is a short walk away from the Club Site at West Runton. Inland you will find gentle, rolling countryside, which is accessible by public transport.
Booked on internet - A bit daunting as you drive down what looks like something out of Jurasic Park. But then you emerge into this oasis of lovelyness. The site is clean. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Well spaced out pitches, plenty of water stand pipes. 2 large toilets blocks which are cleaned out thouroughly everyday and inspected periodically. Small campshop, Play park for the children. Mobile Fish & Chip van Sundays and Wednesdays. Short walk to West Runton and Beach. Short trip to Chromer. Norwich £3.10 return on train per adult. We have booked again this year. Well chuffed
West Runton Camping and Caravanning Club Site, Cromer, Norfolk
This is not the friendly site it first appears. Entrance not good especially for caravans, indifferent check in, random placing of pitches, cleanish showers, low on amenities, and not the dog friendly site as advertised.
West Runton Camping and Caravanning Club Site, Cromer, Norfolk
Excellent all round. All the staff are very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Lovely atmosphere. Spacious pitches, very clean and well maintained throughout. Toilet/shower blocks spotlessly clean. Turn right out of the site road and at the bottom are Spar and camping shops and a lovely pub with large garden. We have just started camping again now that our children are grown and it was coming here that swayed us in to joining the camping and caravanning club and get back into it again. Hope all our future experiences are as positive. Thank you for a lovely break, will be coming back. Definitely 5 stars. Hope that is the box I have selected.
West Runton Camping and Caravanning Club Site, Cromer, Norfolk
Only 2 things I could fault this site for and they are
1. The entrance to the site A bit daunting for a 1st season caravanner like me
2. A lack of hand drying machine in the toilet blocks
(nit picking I know but we don't always carry towels to the toilets)
Apart from that we had an excellent time here staff were very helpful and the fish and chip van was a great bonus
Ideal site for exploring North Norfolk Coast. Sheringham and Cromer easily accessible on foot from site. Village Inn and Camping Shop in West Runton worth visiting. Toilet facilities vey good, campsite is always clean and tidy.
